根据Alfred Wetzler的著作《但丁没看见》改编，讲述两个年轻的斯洛伐克犹太人逃离奥斯威辛集中营，并撰写了关于死亡营工作方式的详细报告。奥斯维辛一共有12人成功逃脱，其中有两人是斯洛伐克人。Plot Summary:This is the true story of Freddy and Walter - two young Slovak Jews, who were deported to Auschwitz in 1942. On 10 April 1944, after meticulous planning and with the help and the resilience of their inmates, they manage to escape. While the inmates, they had left behind, courageously stand their ground against the Nazi officers, the two men are driven on by the hope that their evidence could save lives. Emaciated and hurt, they make their way through the mountains back to Slovakia. With the help of chance encounters, they finally manage to cross the border and meet the resistance and The Red Cross. They compile a detailed report about the systematic genocide at the camp. However, with Nazi propaganda and international liaisons still in place, their account seems to be too harrowing to believe.

毒气室、焚烧炉、储尸室，用魔鬼两个字形容都不够，弗尔巴和韦茨勒于1944年4月逃脱。他们在沮丧和难以置信中等待，直到六月，英国情报部门才终于拿到了他们的报告。在战争期间，韦茨勒和弗尔巴一起拯救了比任何其他人都多的犹太人。然而，总死亡人数令人震惊，据估计有多达150万人死于奥斯维辛。
乏善可陈。集中营的日子当然不好过
除了最后的15分钟，其它部分拍得过于干巴和寡淡了，叙事缺乏力度和重点。
如果说《慕尼黑：战争边缘》作品里仍然有纳粹精神被常人理解的积极空间，《奥斯维辛报告》则做到了没有任何纳粹积极精神体现的形象或细节，而去塑造了多个勇敢、坚韧的犹太人和斯洛伐克村民的人道主义精神。剧组创作思路具体、凝结。可是结局两场戏（1⃣️红十字官员信主流媒体而不信个人表现得麻木无力；2⃣️片尾字幕时配有当代欧洲美洲政客的公开民粹主意言论）则让这部角度专一的轻巧作品无法飞翔。
